“My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentines Day and we had a blast. The front desk staff and valet were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an older feel with history which we really enjoyed. The location was great with lots of places to go for food and drinks. The nighttime bartender Joel was awesome. Gave us a little tour and delicious desserts to take back to our room. We didnt make it to breakfast or lunch so I cant speak on the food but all in all a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.”
“Great Stay, Valet Highly Recommended I had an amazing stay at The Americus Hotel in Allentown. The hotel itself was excellent — clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a great overall atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. The only minor challenge is parking, as it can be a bit difficult on your own. However, the valet service is a fantastic option and completely stress-free. If you choose valet, parking becomes a non-issue and is absolutely worth it. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area — especially if you opt for valet parking.”
“Historic hotel in downtown Allentown. Check in staff were helpful overall but a little inconsistent. Valet staff were professional and efficient, but the $35/day price felt a little steep for the area. The hotel lobby felt historic and was interesting to observe with chandeliers and balconies overlooking the first floor. We stayed in the "Nixon" Presidential Suite. Enjoyed the history of the hotel but not without a few issues. The room was fairly nice, but the lighting was a mixed bag and some of the aesthetics were inconsistent. Lamp had no light bulb and an end table and lamp were missing from the bedroom. We spoke to the front desk but didn't get resolution. However, these concerns were resolved when we spoke to the operations manager. Additionally, some lights in the room were cool white and some were warm white which is pretty noticable at night. Street noise was certainly noticable, so having white noise playing while sleeping is highly suggested. Bed was pretty comfortable and housekeeping staff was excellent. Overall, I would stay here again when considering the price point and what we received.”
